About the role

As Head of Marketplaces you play a crucial part in the company’s online growth with a clear mission: driving growth across the dynamic marketplace landscape. Your primary objective is to identify opportunities, develop, and optimize strategies for sales across various marketplaces. You’re responsible for the entire process, from formulating strategic initiatives to executing them operationally. In this role, you will drive the company forward, charting a strategic course for future growth through the implementation of an integrator, expansion into new marketplaces, and accelerated sales growth. This is an operational role with manager responsibility, reporting to the E-commerce Director.

  • Developing and executing global marketplace strategy within the current channel structure
  • Overseeing the management of marketplace inventory, encompassing both procurement and sales
  • Engage in prospecting and negotiations with marketplaces to secure partnerships
  • Maintain daily communication for participation in campaigns, follow-up, and analysis
  • Actively curate product assortments to enhance performance and maximize profitability while aligning with brand positioning
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make strategic decisions that foster long-term business growth and profitability
  • Identify and address deviations through integrator and collaboration partners
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders for seamless marketplace sales
  • Leading and developing the marketplace team consisting of one specialist with potential of further growth
  • Report on KPIs: sales, ROAS, sell-through and margin

About you

To excel in this role, you have a background in e-commerce and marketplace management, preferably at an international level showcasing an understanding of commercial strategy aimed at driving sales growth. You are data-driven, results-oriented, and thrive in a fast paced culture with significant responsibility and ownership.You have previously held a similar role or worked your way up and received more and more responsibility and is now ready to take on a manager role. You are structured in your way of working and have experience in project management with an entrepreneurial spirit. You can take on both operational and strategic work and you have a proactive mindset being comfortable making daily decisions.

  • 5 years of experience in digital sales, where at least two are focused on marketplace management
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience with integrator platforms, previous experience with ChannelEngine is highly advantageous
  • Strong project management abilities
